Abstract

A device pertaining to a vehicle provided with loading banks, each comprising a frame 1 and two stanchions 2 for retaining a load consisting especially of timber, and at least one chain 5 or the like which is intended to clamp the load to the vehicle after the one end 6 of the chain has been guided over the load from the one side of the vehicle to its other side by a remote-controlled loading and unloading device for the load. The device comprises a second chain 8 or the like, which is provided with an eyelet 7 or the like in which the first chain 5 is arranged to run and which is attached to the loading bank 1,2 such that the eyelet is displaceable between an upper position (Fig. 1), in which the said one end 6 of the first chain 5 is accessible for gripping by the loading and unloading device, and a lower position (Fig. 3), in which the eyelet is adjacent to the clamped load. <IMAGE>
