Abstract

In an hydraulic chamber at each spring leg fluid flow is controlled by a valve controlled from a central logic circuit. These hydraulic chambers (K1-K2) are each connected via an associated valve to a shared fluid connection point (P1) so that a second (or more) spring leg can be switched in to achieve a variable mass coupling depending on the overall situation detected by sensors. A central pressure supply is connected via a further valve to the central connection point (P1) - to which the hydraulic (or pneumatic) chambers of all the spring legs are connected directly. This further valve is also controlled according to the overall situation.
