Abstract

A device for discharging a liquid in spray form is described. According to the invention, it comprises a combination of a compressible disposable container 1 made from a relatively soft plastics material and a discharge spout 6 comprising a dimensionally stable outer part 7 made from a plastics material substantially harder than the plastics material of the disposable container 1, an insert 8 and a nozzle 9. The disposable container 1 has a conically tapered connecting neck 4 having an outlet 5 which is exposed when the seal of the container is broken. The outer part 7 has firstly a threaded connecting hole 11 of the same conicity as the connecting neck 4 and is arranged to be brought into self-tapping engagement with the connecting neck 4 of the disposable container and secondly an inner chamber 13 for play-free reception of the said insert 8, which is arranged to bear against a supporting wall 14 in the mouth section 20 of the outer part 7. The discharge spout 6 additionally has a narrow duct 30 connecting the outlet 5 of the disposable container to the discharge hole 25 of the nozzle 9, in which duct 30 a sufficiently high pressure is created in the liquid, when the disposable container 1 is compressed by manual force, that the liquid is forced out of the nozzle 9 in spray form. <IMAGE>
