Abstract

Finger screws (3) are used to clamp the recessed sink in position. Each of these finger screws is attached to the outside of the sink or washbasin via a fixing pin (4), the sink or basin is made of pressed steel covered with a thin coating of plastics (6), which remains intact upon location of the fixing pins. Pref., the fixing pins are secured by contact welding, each pin having a cylindrical shaft between opposing end discs of larger dia. ADVANTAGE - Fixings are not visible from front face of sink or washbasin.
