Abstract

A device for achieving displacement, for example of a gripper member for displacing components within a specific area, comprising a drive unit (1) exhibiting one or more drive motors (14.1, 14.2), which via drive means (12.1, 12.2) can be made to transfer drive forces between the drive unit (1) and at least one power transmitting member (2) which is in force transferring connection with the surroundings, and if desired at least one member (3) which is positively movable with regard to the drive unit (1), wherein the power transferring member consists of a substantially straight, elongate beam (2), with a drive member (12.1) which is flexible at least in a plane through the longitudinal direction of the beam (2) extending along the beam (2) and being securely attached to its ends, said drive member (12.1) engaging a first drive wheel (13.1) which is connected to a first drive motor (14.1).
