Abstract

Wood chip board and method for producing wood chip board from waste material which is left over from turning of timber in veneer or plywood production, and which has a moisture quotient of up to 200% or more generally about 30 - 120%, and where the wood chip board is made from wood chips with the said moisture quotient and with an average thickness of about 0.2 - 1.5 mm, a width of about 1 - 10 mm and a length of up to 40 mm, and which have been mixed with a glue in a dry or liquid state in an amount of up to 20 per cent by weight or preferably 5 to 15 per cent by weight calculated on the dry weight of the chips, and which have been hot-pressed with or without wire at a pressure of 10 - 35 bar to form a chip board with a thickness of 4 - 20 mm. <IMAGE>
