Abstract

The straw chopper is designed to be mounted on a self-propelled combine harvester. It has at least one fan blade (16) located freely rotatable on a holder (8) attached to the chopper shaft (7) in the space (9,19') between two neighbouring choppers (14) of at least one row of chopper blades. When the chopper shaft stops, both the chopper blades and the fan blades swing down automatically. USE/ADVANTAGE - The chopper distributes the straw, without impairing its flow.
