Abstract

Brake arrangement for an operating device for linear movement consisting of a cylinder 1 and a piston which is movable therein, a rail 3 fastened on the outside of the cylinder 1 and parallel to the axis of the latter being arranged along essentially the entire stroke of the piston, which rail is provided with sliding surfaces 8 formed on opposite sides, and a slide 14 provided with sliding blocks 15, which can move along the rail, is guided linearly by the sliding surfaces 8 and is connected to a driver 2 connected to the piston. The rail 3 has two cavities 9 which extend inside and along the rail and are open by means of a duct 10 on the respective sliding surface 8 thereof, as a result of which the rail 3 has two legs 11 which are resilient in the direction transverse to the cylinder axis and delimit one side of the duct 10. Each leg 11 interacts with a brake body 21 which is mounted on the slide 3 and provided with a brake surface 22. Each cavity 9 can be pressurized in a known manner in order to move said one side of the duct 10. <IMAGE>
