Abstract

The present invention concerns a valve for discharging a preferably viscous fluid. It is designed to open during discharge under the action of an overpressure, generated for example by means of a pump 1, and to be closed under its own power when the overpressure and the discharge cease. The valve 2 comprises a channel 9 with inlet and outlet ends 9a; 9b and an axial flow direction 10. The channel 9 is delimited on the one hand by a frame part 11 made of stiff material and on the other hand by a cover part 12 made of flexible material. The frame part 11 is designed with a groove 13 which has an essentially curved cross section. The edges of the cover part 12 extending in the flow direction 10 tightly adjoin the frame part 11. Towards the discharge end 9b, the cover part adapts to the shape of the groove 13. As a result of this, the cover part 12 bears sealingly with a certain contact pressure against the wall of the groove 13. <IMAGE>
