Abstract
The device insulates an acoustic antenna (13) made of one or more hydrophones in the longitudinal direction spaced from the wall. The hydrophones are arranged in a covering body (12) filled with water or with water flowing through. The device has an insulating plate (15) in the form of a spring mass system to screen from interfering noise emitted from the wall on the basis of impressed waves or vibrations. The insulating plate (15) is arranged at a distance (a) between the wall and the acoustic antenna (13). The distance (a) is adjustable in dependence on the signal-to-noise ratio measured at the antenna (13). The transverse expansion of the insulating plate (15) at a selected spacing (a) is such that the interference signal emitted from the all, through the water, to the antenna (13) is the same level or softer than the interference transmitted through the plate (15) to the antenna (13).
