Abstract
In a suspension for vehicles with a spring strut, arranged between vehicle body and axle and comprising a working cylinder with piston with piston rod sliding therein, and with upper and lower working pressure chambers relative to the piston, which chambers are connected to one another by way of a non-return valve and also to a pressure accumulator (pre-loaded spring), it is proposed that a control slide valve (11) with at least one variable passage cross-section (f1(s), f2(s), f3(s)) be hydraulically driven by a control pump (12) with hydraulic drive (13) also assigned, and to derive the hydraulic drive (13) for the control pump (12) from the excess quantity resulting from compression of the spring strut (10), with pressure medium circuit in the spring strut (10), control slide valve (11), control pump (12) and control pump drive (13) altogether sealed off from the outside. <IMAGE>
