Abstract

A water trap of the inner-syphon kind comprises a bowl-shaped lower part (10) with a detachable funnel-shaped insertion (12), the exterior circumferential dimension at the lower end (16) of which is smaller than the interior circumference of the bowl-shaped lower part (10) to form a ring-shaped flow space (28), and which is adapted to be inserted from above into the bowl-shaped lower part (10) and to protrude down into the bowl and to end at a distance from the bottom thereof by means of distance ribs (22) keeping the upper end of the insertion (12) at a distance from the upper end of the bowl-shaped lower part (10) while forming outlet apertures between the two parts. At least opposite to the distance ribs (22) between the funnel-shaped insertion (12) and the bowl-shaped lower part (10) are placed partition walls sections so that the deposit of dirt particles in the area around the distance ribs (22) is avoided. <IMAGE>
