Abstract

A chassis frame 1 for vehicles comprises two side beams 2,3 which are interconnected by transverse connection elements 4. An internal combustion engine 20 and a radiator 21 in its cooling system are arranged in the frame 1 so that the engine's 20 radiator fan 25 is situated between the side beams 2,3 in front of or behind the connection element 4. When the engine 20 is running, the radiator fan 25 causes air to flow, partly through the radiator 21, and partly through openings in the connection element 4. <IMAGE>
