Abstract
Metal-air battery cell comprising metal anode, air electrode and if required charging electrode with separator arranged between the electrodes. The innovation regarding this cell is that it does not have actual electrolyte space and free electrolyte, which instead is absorbed in the separators which take up all the space between the electrodes, that some of the outer surface of the cell has been made electrolyte permeable, so that it can absorb electrolyte sprayed on from the outside of the cell and that the whole cell is fastened together into a single cell pack where electrodes and separators lie close together to obtain good electrolyte contact. Battery containing one or more of the cells, device for supplying air or oxygen and device for spraying on electrolyte. <IMAGE>
