Abstract
Tank arrangement for treating a liquid, in particular waste water, and intended, for example, for separation of grease, oil and/or sludge, where the liquid must have a specific dwell time and an incoming stream of liquid must be admixed with the quantity of liquid present in the tank 10 in a rapid but smooth manner, without disturbing the separation process/processes in the tank. A lowered inlet 11 is provided for liquid, with its axis 11A directed more or less horizontally in the tank, and an outlet 12 is provided for the treated liquid. Placed straight in front of the inlet 11, and at a distance from it, there is a control device 15 essentially symmetric above and below the axis 11A of the inlet and of such design that an incoming stream of liquid which runs obliquely upwards in relation to the axis of the inlet comes to be deflected downwards 16A-B in relation to this axis, and conversely for an incoming stream 17 which runs obliquely downwards in relation to the axis. <IMAGE>
