Abstract

Shut-off and pipe-burst valve comprising a valve housing 1, inside which a valve seat 6 is arranged, against which a valve cone 11 can be closed from the pressure side of the valve, the valve cone 11 being connected to a pipe- burst member 10 comprising a resilient member 14 which, in the event of a certain pressure drop above the valve cone 11, allows the latter to be displaced to close against the valve seat 6. The pipe-burst member 10 has a section which projects out of the valve housing 1 or is arranged on a valve rod 7 which projects out of the valve housing 1, by means of which the position of the pipe- burst member 10 and the valve cone 11 can be displaced axially in a direction away from or towards the valve seat 6 and adjusted between an open position, in which the valve cone 11 is removed from the valve seat 6 and in which the valve cone 11 can, as a result of the action of the pipe-burst member 10, be caused to close against the valve seat 6 in the event of a pipe-burst, and a closed position in which the valve cone 11 is positively closed against the valve seat 6. <IMAGE>
