Abstract

The mask (1) fits around the head of the user with the aid of straps (7, 9). A sprung component is inserted between the two layers of the mask to permit it to bend backwards or forwards. This enables the mask to be used for either the left or right eye, in that it can be turned inside out, with the mask bent in the opposite direction.
