Abstract

A method of producing an advertising board mounting plate 1 which is to be illuminated by UV-light and show letters and/or figures in a colour contrasting with the remaining portion of the plate comprises coating the plate 1, at least in the area where the letters and/or figures are to appear with a self-adhering coloured film 2, whereupon grooves forming the contour of the letters and/or figures are engraved through the film and in the surface of the mounting plate proper, coloured film lying outside the formed figures is removed, and fluorescent plastic material 4 is placed in the grooves. <IMAGE>
