Abstract

The invention relates to an automatic emergency release system for a safety belt fastener for installation in conjunction with a safety belt system in aircraft, watercraft and ground vehicles, which system automatically releases the fastener or fasteners in the event of an impact of predetermined magnitude after a presettable time constant has elapsed. The object of the invention is to provide an emergency release system for a safety belt system, which, in addition to the customary actuation by hand, provides for release of the belt fastener in the event of an accident in such a way that the fastener tongue is only released after a time lag in the case of exceeding or dropping below predetermined values. According to the invention, the object is achieved in that an electromechanical lock in the belt fastener is actuated indirectly by a restorable time member which is known per se, and the restoring input of the time member is connected to parallel contacts of a delay sensor which registers the delay in three planes (Figure 2). <IMAGE>
