Abstract

The device incorporates a suction system with vacuum, and a connecting unit (8) for the spray gun (1) paint discharge mouthpiece (5). Solvent (6) from the paint storage tank (3) is sucked through the distribution channels (2) and discharge mouthpiece, and one or more collection containers receive the solvent coming from the gun. The suction system also has an air intake (31) which aspirates solvent vapours formed in a washing bowl (11). - The vapours are formed when solvent runs down into it from the gun discharge mouthpiece, or when the gun itself or other equipment is washed with solvent pref. externally in the bowl. Vacuum in the suction system is produced using an elector device in which drive air currents are provided by a compressed air unit. The compressed air drives one or more pumps which move solvent out of the collection containers to one or more washing mouthpieces for carrying out external cleaning of the spray gun in the bowl (11).
