Abstract

A rest support for irradiation units, primarily so-called solaria, intended for a person preferably lying on one's back, comprising a pane (3) or the like, which at least to its greater part is transparent and intended to be transilluminated from below by at least one radiation source (4), and on which said person is intended to rest. The rest support is especially characterized in that said pane (3) comprises two longitudinal edge portions (5) of preferably plane cross-section, one portion on each longitudinal side, which portions are intended to be substantially horizontal and to serve as support for said person's arms, and a portion (6) of substantially V-shaped cross-section, which is formed by two portions (8) slightly inclined downwards from the respective edge portion (5) to the longitudinal central line (7) of the pane (3), which portions are intended to serve as support for said person's head, back etc., and that in connection to said central line (7) a longitudinal depression (9) is located, which is intended for said person's spine column.
