Abstract

A method of making hollow cylindrical articles provides for preparing a blank through electroslag casting at a speed of 0.3 to 0.6 mm/sec., its surface hardening with a flow of plasma jet formed in a plasmatron at a current intensity of 220 to 320A, at a linear rotation speed of the blank of 3 to 10 mm/sec. and at a gap of 2 to 10 mm between the plasmatron and the blank, and its magnetoabrasive machining.
