Abstract

Brewing unit, consisting of brewing funnel (7) and associated pot (4), for use in electric brewing appliances (1) for the preparation of coffee or tea beverages. The brewing funnel has a funnel part for reception of a filter inserted loosely into it and a supporting rim (8) for supporting the funnel on the pot (4). The pot has a relatively large volume but low height. The supporting rim (8) is displaceable upwards and downwards along the funnel (7) and can be secured in different positions by means of a catch mechanism (12, 15). In this way, the entire height of pot and brewing funnel can be adapted to different types and sizes of brewing appliances. <IMAGE>
