Abstract

A sound camper (7) is provided to damp the sound passing from one location to another via an air exchange channel, and it is formed from a tube-like piece of sound-absorbent material. This material is connected as an extension of a valve body (3) so that the air flow through the valve passes through the damper. The valve body and a plate or cone (4) are joined by a transversely positioned shaft (5) belonging to the body. In this manner, the sound damper can be fitted to the valve body by its end being pushed over the shaft.
