Abstract

An installation for supplying fresh air to a room 3 and cooling the room air by causing it to circulate via a cooling device 2, comprises an airflow-generating arrangement 4 for causing the room air to circulate and a casing 2 housing the cooling device, which communicates with the room on the one hand via an inlet arrangement 5 receiving air from the room and on the other hand via an outlet arrangement 6 which returns the room air to the room after cooling by means of the cooling device and is arranged so as to supply to the room a mixture of fresh air and room air. The outlet arrangement 6 comprises on the one hand an air inlet device 7 of the type which supplies air with a relatively great spread and at relatively low speed, which is arranged at a distance from the casing and opens into the room, and on the other hand a line 8 which supplies fresh air originating from a fresh-air source 19 and also the cooled room air to the air inlet device 7, the air inlet device 7 opening into the room at a level substantially below the point 9 where the room air evacuation inlet arrangement 5 opens into the room 3. <IMAGE>
