Abstract

Particulate red amorphous phosphorus is stabilized against oxidation and phosphine formation by the use of a combination of titanium dioxide or titanium phosphate, in an amount of about 0.05 to about 1.0 wt.% of Ti, and an organic resin, which is an epoxy resin, a melamine-formaldehyde resin or a urea-formaldehyde resin, in an amount of about 0.1 to about 5.0 wt.%.
