Abstract

A brake apparatus is designed for a wheeled implement known as a "rollator", which has a forward (1) and a rear (2) wheel, where at least one wheel is fitted with a brake which is operated by a cable (14).According to the invention, the brake apparatus has one part (12) of the cable (14) fixed at some distance from the handle (5) on the implement. This part (12) has an end fixed to a fastening (16) on the handle. Further the cable at the opposite end of this part (12) is extendible fitted to a control (15) whereby pulling the part (120 against the handle causes the brake to be applied. For the parking brake function, the part (12) has a fixed stop (18,19) by the control (15), and under this there is a projecting U-shaped groove at the fastening 16) against which the stop can be hooked when the part (12) is pressed down from the handle.<IMAGE>
