Abstract

A silencer which is fitted into the blow-off nozzle (5) of a pressure controller (1) is proposed. It comprises a piece of pipe (6) into which there are inserted one after the other a restrictor (13), provided in a flange bush (12), and a cylindrical woven-fabric cartridge (14). Between the flange bush (12) and the woven-fabric cartridge (14) there is a clearance (15), and between a circumferential surface (16) of the woven-fabric cartridge (14) and an inside wall (17) of the piece of pipe there remains clear an axial passage in the form of a cylindrical gap (18), in order that the silencer cannot be clogged with oil carbon. <IMAGE>
