Abstract

A cap-like closure for bottles and the like, comprises a first part (2) surrounding the neck of a bottle and provided with an outlet opening (10) and a second part (4) forming a lid for the part (2) and joined to part (2) by an integral flex-hinge. An annular tear-off strip (5) attached to the upper edge of the first part (2), acts as a catch to engage a finger grip 16 at the lower edge of the part (4), when the closure is closed. The grip 16 can only be released, to allow the closure to be opened by tearing off the strip (5). <IMAGE>
