Abstract

In a tightening device for cables, chains and the like, the ends of the cables are attached to attaching parts linked together and movable in the direction of the cable ends. The first attaching part has the shape of a short shackle (10) having on both sides studs (14, 15) protruding to the bolt (13), the first end of the cable (11, 12) being fixed to said short shackle. The second attaching part has the shape of a long shackle (20) presenting edges with teeth (24, 25), to the bolt (23) of which shackle the second cable end (22) is attached. The short shackle (10) is arranged inside the long shackle (20) so that the studs (14) inside the openings (24) translate the force from one cable end (11, 12) to the other end (22).
