Abstract

A heating pad 1 for heating car seats has a resistance wire 2 connectable to a power source 3, 7 by way of a thermostat 5. Stepless temperature adjustment of the pad is achieved by providing separate heating means 8 for the thermostat. The heater 8 and the thermostat 5 are connected such that the thermostat controls the supply of current to said heater 8, and a rheostat 10, 11 adjusts the current through the heater 8 to vary the heat output of the pad heater 2. An LED 14 indicates when the heater 2 is being energised. <IMAGE>
