Abstract

The brake system is for an ergonomic bicycle, and comprises two discs (11,13) connected to a drive belt (20). One disc (13) is lockable relative to the other. In order to vary the belt tension which provides the requisite brake and friction forces, the disc centre distance is variable, in that the lockable disc is eccentrically located, and can only be turned after release of a stop (17).
