Abstract

A power transformer has a plurality of windings arranged coaxially around a core leg, at least the inner winding 7 being constructed as a strip winding. This is wound on a template cylinder 4 that consists of an essentially metallic hollow cylindrical element 5 with an outer insulating layer 6. The hollow cylindrical element 5 consists of a helical conductor 10 with a plurality of windings lying in contact with each other. The conductor, which forms a bearing winding, is series-connected to the strip winding. <IMAGE>
