Abstract
The fire tubes of flue boilers or combined flue and smoke-tube boilers have to be cleaned more often, when using high-ash fuels, in order to prevent the heat transfer being reduced too greatly by ash deposits and to overcome the danger of sinter-fusing or the formation of lumps. In order to be able to clean the wall of the fire tube (3) in a simple manner, the invention proposes that parts of the wall of the fire tube be blasted successively with a blasting medium, the blasting direction and the flue-gas flow enclosing an angle < 90 DEG . In the case of a preferred cleaning device for carrying out the cleaning, the invention provides a long-tube blasting means (12) with a blasting tube which can be retracted into and extended out of one end of the fire tube (3) and on the front end of which there is arranged a blasting nozzle head (13), whose blasting-jet direction, preferably defined by blasting nozzles (14), and the flue-gas flow (8) enclose an angle < 90 DEG . The long-tube blasting means is preferably a long-tube helical blasting means, the blasting-nozzle head of which is provided with at least two blasting nozzles which are offset with respect to one another in the circumferential direction. At that end of the fire tube which is not occupied by the long-tube blasting means, at least one fuel burner (4) can be arranged, or a pre-firing means can be connected upstream thereof. <IMAGE>
