Abstract

The method for production of bean sprouts involves placing the seeds on a water permeable base and then dowsing them with water during short, repetitive periods until sprouts of the required length have been produced. In the method small containers are used which ultimately serve for distribution of the grown sprouts. The containers have open tops closable by covers. For dowsing the containers are inverted, the water then being fed through the permeable base into the space in front of the sprouts.
