Abstract

The diesel engine has an overhead cam shaft with injectors (18) mounted on a yoke (11) with their ends slightly oblique and eccentric to the piston axis. Valve rockers (25,26) are placed on either side of the injectors. A second rocker (31) controls the injectors and is inserted between the first rockers. A cam shaft drives the inlet (21) and outlet (22) valves and also the injection nozzles. The cam shaft is in a low position at the side of the injectors along the piston axis.
