Abstract

A bicycle speed change lever device comprises a base member releasably mounted on the bicycle. On the base member, there is pivotably mounted an actuating lever. Releaseable locking means are provided, which permit adjustment of said actuating lever into a plurality of predetermined angular positions about said pivot axis. Transmission means extending between the switch unit and the speed change unit are secured with one of their ends to said actuating lever. A locking member 70 of said locking means is housed within a substantially radially extending cavity 64 of the actuating lever and is biassed in radially inward direction towards engagement with a locking face fixed to said base member. The locking face is provided with a plurality of radially directed recesses for selectively receiving said locking member. <IMAGE>
