Abstract

Heat pump installation with a number of circuits which contain a compressor (1), a condenser (4), an expansion valve (3) and an evaporator (2), a cooling medium circulating in these circuits. The compressor (1) is installed in a compressor space (7) and a duct is provided, in which a gas which delivers heat is set flowing with the aid of a fan (10). Formed between the fan (10) and the evaporator (2) is an overpressure chamber (11). The special feature of the heat pump installation consists in that a first opening (13) is arranged between each overpressure chamber (11) and each compressor space (7) in such a manner that, in the event of heat being carried off by the gas into a duct in which the fan (10) is in operation, a gas flow flows through the associated opening (13) into the compressor space and from there, heated, through the opening (13) to the space between the evaporator (2) and the fan (10) into a duct, in which an evaporator is defrosted and where the associated fan (10) is at a standstill. <IMAGE>
