Abstract

A device in the form of an economy tap 11 in order to reduce the volume of water wasted in connection with showering, washing and similar activities. The device is intended to be used in combination with conventional water taps 14, 16 which are connected to a waterline system 10, 12 in order to regulate the water volume and preferably also to set the water temperature, thus one uses a valve in the form of a locking element 26 equipped with a separate control device 28. The locking element is connected to the waterline system in front of the conventional taps in order to normally block, and when acted upon by the control device, open the water supply. By means of an automatic return device 68, the locking element is immediately taken back to its normal water-saving mode in connection with the effect on the control device being eliminated. <IMAGE>
