Abstract
An aerosol valve has a valve housing 22 provided with an interrupted peripheral flange 50 that will yield under pressure and permit the housing and the valve gasket 28 to move away from their sealing relation with the pedestal 14 of the mounting cup closure during round the housing filling, and to return to said sealing relation upon terminating the filling operation. A filling head is disclosed which is constructed such that when the filling head 72 is in position for filling with the propellant, the valve body 24 is moved away from the top of the pedestal through engagement of the valve stem or an actuator thereon with a filling stem actuator 84. The valve includes gaseous propellant conduits 40. <IMAGE>
