Abstract

A connector for connecting leads 58 to units transmitting or receiving information has a plug upper element 2 which is pushed onto a plug lower element 1. The plug lower element 1 carries the leads 58 and, as the plug upper element 2 is pushed onto the lower element 1, cutting edges 19, 20 of plug contacts 12 cut through the insulation of the leads 58 to establish electrical contact. A cap 3 supports a printed circuit board 4 which carries a unit transmitting or receiving information. When the cap 3 is pushed onto the plug upper element 2, the printed circuit board 4 passes between two limbs 17, 18 of the plug contacts 12, and electrical connection is made between a section 7 of the printed circuit board 4 and the plug contacts 12 via contacting faces 15, 16. Hence, electrical contact is formed between the printed circuit board 4 and the leads 58. <IMAGE>
