Abstract
The invention concerns a bicyclooctane derivative of the formula, <IMAGE> wherein A is optionally present and is C1-4 alkylene, R1 is hydrogen or C1-4 alkyl, R2 is hydrogen or C4-7 alkyl, R3 is hydrogen or C1-4 alkyl, X is optionally present and is ethylene or vinylene and R4 and R5 are each, independently of one another, hydrogen or a hydroxy-protecting group; or a non- toxic salt. Such compounds wherein each of R4 and R5 is hydrogen are useful for prevention of thrombosis.
