Abstract

The invention relates to a device for imparting springing properties to a chain consisting of links coupled together. It is known to impart springing properties to a chain by vulcanising a part of the chain into a rubber-elastic material. It is, however, a comparatively costly and complicated operation to impart springing properties to a chain in this way, and in particular, it is not possible for a private chain user to impart said springing properties this way. The object of the invention is to provide a simple device, by means of which it will be possible for private persons to impart springing properties to an existing chain. In order to meet this object, the device according to the invention is characterised by elements 4, generally consisting of rubber-elastic material, which are insertable and fixable between the engaging surfaces of the links 2 of the chain facing each other by means of elastic deformation. <IMAGE>
