Abstract

A building structure including a stand that can easily be raised and covered, and a stretched, covering membrane. The stand consists of a number of cross-directionally placed arched-shaped devices (6) that are separated in the direction of the building, and with a web path (9) stretched between each adjacent pair of arches (6). In addition to each stand device (6), the stand consists of an extruded I-beam (6) of an aluminium alloy and with a rib (6b) with an outer transverse leg (6c) and an inner transverse leg (6d). The U-beam's (6) outer transverse leg (6c) has a web attachment device (16) designed to interact with the web (9) to keep the edge of this web attached during the manufacture of a weather-resistant joint between the web (9) and the beam (6). Distance rods (7) that can be pulled apart are mounted on the top of the inner transversal rib (6d) and these and any accessories in addition to the aforementioned devices are joined to or suspended from the arch-shaped stand beams (6) and are located under the web path (9) where they are protected from the weather and are easily accessible from the inside of the structure. With the aim of facilitating handling, transportation, erection and covering of the structure, the arches (6) consist of a number of small light components that are easy to take apart and all separate parts of the stand can be joined using bolts.<IMAGE>
