Abstract

Copolymers based on unsaturated esters having the general formula: (1) wherein the radicals X are the same or different and each represent bromine or chlorine, R is hydrogen or methyl and n is 0 or 1, and containing one or more units derived from comonomers selected from the group consisting of acrylic, methacrylic, maleic and fumaric esters. These copolymers are suitable for use as flameproofing agents for thermoplasts.
