Abstract

The tool-holding head is intended for lathes. It comprises a plurality of tools (4) which are arranged at its end face and can each be brought individually into engagement with a workpiece present in front of the end face (2) of the holding head. In order to ensure that work can be carried out free of impairment when there are a multiplicity of tools, the tools are mounted so as to be displaceable relative to the end face of the holding head in such a way that in each case one tool can be moved into a working position projecting to the front relative to the end face, while the remaining tools are located in a ready position pulled back relative to the end face. <IMAGE>
