1525418 Organotitanates KENRICH PETROCHEMICALS Inc 13 May 1976 [15 May 1975 30 Sept 1975] 19696/76 Headings C2C and C2P [Also in Divisions C1 and C3] The invention comprises organotitanates of general formulae (RO) z Ti(A) x (B) y , (RO)Ti(D) 3 , (RO) z Ti(OSO 2 R<SP>11</SP>) x (B) y and (RO)Ti(OCOR<SP>1</SP>) p - (OAr) q ; R is a monovalent alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl or aralkyl group having from 1 to 30 carbon atoms or a substituted derivative thereof; A is thioanoxy, sulphinic, diester pyrophosphate, diester phosphate, or a substituted derivative thereof; B is OCOR<SP>1</SP> or aroxy; R<SP>1</SP> is hydrogen or a monovalent organic group having from 1-100 carbon atoms; R<SP>11</SP> is an amino-substituted or alkyl-substituted aryl group, the alkyl group having 5-24 carbon atoms; x + y + z = 4; x and z may be 1, 2 or 3 and y may be 0, 1 or 2; p+q=3; q may be 1, 2 or 3 and p may be 0, 1 or 2. The compounds of the invention may be used to treat the surface of comminuted inorganic materials or added with such materials to polymers.
