Abstract

The invention concerns method for managing (10) pest control system (20), the pest control system (20) comprises: bait stations (30), enabled to comprise bait, e.g. a supply of bait, for example, poisonous bait, and wherein the bait stations (30) comprise openings (111) allowing pest to enter the bait stations (30), sensors (40), for example, bait amount sensors, e.g. sensors for bait level measurements, and/or for example, motion sensors and/or sound sensors, being e.g. pest activity measurements sensors and/or pest activity control sensors, and means (131) for holding the sensors (40), constructed to hold the sensors (40), and to allow held sensors (40) to freely collect data; a data handler (70), means for connecting (50) the sensors (40) and the data handler (70), and means for communication (60), wherein the sensors (40) are connectable and enabled to communicate data when being connected, wherein the data handler (70) is being connectable and enabled to receive data from, and communicated by, the sensors (40) when being connected to the sensors (40), and wherein the method for managing (10) the pest control system (20) comprising obtaining information (SI) in the data handler (70), via data from, and communicated by, the held sensors (40), and providing indications (1.1) of quantity of sensors, and/or indications (1.2) of type of sensors, that are required in the pest control system (20); bait station (30) and a pest control system, used with regard to pests, for example, rodents, such as, rats or mice, or cockroaches.

Claims (7)

Claims
1. A method for managing (10) a pest control system (20), wherein the pest control system (20) comprises: bait stations (30), wherein the bait stations (30) are enabled to comprise a supply of poisonous or non-poisonous bait, and wherein the bait stations (30) comprise openings (111) allowing pest to enter the bait stations (30), sensors (40) in the form of bait amount sensors and/or motion sensors and/or sound sensors, wherein the motion sensors and/or the sound sensors are pest activity measurements sensors and/or pest activity control sensors, and means (131) for holding the sensors (40), wherein said means (131) for holding sensors (40) is constructed to hold the sensors (40), and to allow held sensors (40) to freely collect data; a data handler (70), and means for communication (60) between the sensors (40) and the data handler (70), wherein the sensors (40) are connectable and enabled to communicate data when being connected, wherein the data handler (70) is being connectable and enabled to receive data from, and communicated by, the sensors (40) when being connected to the sensors (40), and wherein the method for managing (10) the pest control system (20) comprises a step of obtaining information (S1) in the data handler (70), via data from, and communicated by, the held sensors (40), and wherein the information (S1) provides indications (|.1) of a quantity of sensors that is required in the pest control system (20), and/or indications (|.2) of type of sensors that is required in the pest control system (20), and i) wherein the obtained information (S1) further provides indications (|.3) of amount of bait in the pest control system (20), and indications (|.4) of uptake of bait by pest inthe pest control system (20), and also indications of pest activity and presence in said bait stations by means of said motion sensors and/or the sound sensors; ii) wherein the pest control system (20) is configured so as to decide the most environmentally friendly use of poisonous and non-poisonous bait, respectively, at any given moment, based on said indications of amount of bait, uptake of bait and pest activity; and iii) wherein adjustments ofthe pest control system (20) linked to any one of said indications of amount of bait, uptake of bait and pest activity, is performed by carrying out a continuous management ofthe pest control system (20) and use of the right type of sensors and with a smaller amount of poisoned bait, and/or a less poisonous bait type and/or a non-poisonous bait type.
