Abstract
1,133,823. Cardboard wrappers. INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORP. 10 April, 1967 [5 May, 1966], No. 16252/67. Heading B8C. A wrapper, e.g. of cardboard, formed from a blank, for a typewriter ribbon cartridge 20, has pairs of cuts (31), Fig. 1 (not shown), that extend from one panel, e.g. a base, on to another, e.g. the side wall 14 so that material 30 between the cuts is pressed into the wrapper to form a locating key for the sides of the article. Tabs 50 are provided to enter the centre of the ribbon spools. A flap 70 that is deeper than the sides 14 is coated with P.V.C. When the flap 70 is folded in and the wrapper sealed, by a flap 13 being stuck on to the flap 12, the flap 70 is retained in place due to its extra height. The top of the key 30 then pops out of the wrapper at the side, Fig. 4 (not shown). A free flap 13b facilitates tearing off the wrapper. A cut-out 60 enables a label (45), Fig. 5 (not shown), on the article to be viewed.
