A porcelain lead-through insulator 8 for fitting in an aperture in adjacent mutually inclined walls of a transformer housing 3 has two lead-through cores (15), (16), Fig. 1 (not shown), and two mutually inclined walls 17, 18 provided with slots 19, 20 respectively for engaging the edges of cut-out portions 13 and 14, Fig. 1 (not shown), of the housing walls. In an alternative arrangement, Fig. 3 (not shown), only the slot 19 engages a cut-out portion, the other housing wall in this case overlapping the other wall 18 of the insulator 8.
